On April 17th, Mrs. Mariana Durlesteanu, Minister of Finance, had a meetig with H.E. Mr. Nikolaus Graf Lambsdorff, Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany in the Republic of Moldova, Mr. Dr. Leo Kreuz, Director of East, South-East and Central Europe Directorate and Mr. Christian Kampen, Regional Manager for Eastern Europe and Balkans of KfW Entwicklungs Bank. The main issues discussed were financial investments, consulting services and economic cooperation. H.E. Mr. Ambassador Graf Lambsdorff mentioned that the Government and the Federal Minister for Economic Cooperation and Development of Germany is willing to support RM in the process of reformation and economic development by allocating a financial assistance in the amount of 2.3 mln. Euro. According to Mr. Christian Kampen, KfW Entwicklungsbank representative, the Federal Ministry for Cooperation and Development jointly with the Chamber of Commerce of Germany, decided to offer consulting services to Central Public Administration of the Republic of Moldova. Mrs. Durlesteanu specified that, RM gives a specific attention to the development of bilateral economic relations with the Federal Republic of Germany. All these common actions, realized by these two parties, especially, offering of financial ant technical support by the Federal Republic of Germany, will facilitate the development and recovery of a durable economy, in the benefit of RM citizens. Also, the Government will ensure the transparency in distributing the financial support and a more strictly control in the project implementation process and the respective measures. Obtaining this financial assistance will be conditioned also by the Evaluation Report of the European Commission, regarding the implementation of European Union standards.
