Mrs. Mariana Durlesteanu, Minister of Finance, met with Mr.Paolo Berizzi, Head of Political and Economic Section and Martin Kaspar, Head of Operations Section of European Commission in Moldova.

The main issues discussed in this meeting were the elaboration and implementation of draft Law on Local Public Finance and the pilot projects in two Districts within the territory of Moldova and also the possibility of a support from the Delegation in order to implement the draft law.

Mr. Paolo Berizzi, referring to the Progress Report of European Commission, especially on the progresses registered by the Ministry of Finance in implementing the Action Plan EU- Moldova, mentioned in the context of the European Neighborhood Policy Instruments: TAIEX and Twinning, that two TAIEX application of the Ministry of Finance were already accepted: The Organization of internal and external Control  refereeing to the quality of audit and The International Standards of financial reporting .

Among the discussed issues, were also discussed some aspects of achieved progress within the Internal Financial Public Control Reform and the future outlook, as well as the possibility of assistance in social protection domain.

“We are cooperating and are willing to cooperate in the future” said Mrs. Mariana Durlesteanu within the meeting.

The Officials from the Delegation underlined the availability of collaboration for the achievement of the Ministry of Finance proposed objectives.
