La 29 ianuarie 2008, ministrul Finanţelor, Mihail POP, a participat la emisiunea televizată „Zona Liberă” cu genericul „Indexarea depunerilor băneşti” în cadrul căreia a răspuns la întrebările moderatorului şi telespectatorilor.

La emisiunea dată, de asemenea, a participat şi Preşedintele Legii pentru apărarea Drepturilor Consumatorilor Mihăeş Roman.
